It is worth 12.00 i know because my dad had one and he ask the man at a coin shop and he said 12.00!

Even though it is the last year of silver quarters, there were 564,341,347 minted at the Philadelphia mint and 704,135,528 minted at the Denver mint. They were heavly saved and unless they are in high mint state, are worth only the silver value in them. It would cost more money than it is worth, to just melt one coin, so you need a lot, to make any money melting it.
