Question by Rufus B: I recently discovered an old Mexican coin. My mother and I want to know its value. peso 2000 coin with ano?
I was hoping a coin buff could tell me if this coin is worth anything. It is a 2000 peso coin. It has "ano" inscribed on it instead of "diez pesos" . There is an aztec sun on one of its sides and an eagle holding a snake. Thank you in advance .

first ano means year. and im pretty sure the coin is only worth a few cents or so.

Am I reading this right? An eight year old coin? That’s not old. It is a commemorative coin minted only in 2000. According to the Banco de Mexico, it’s worth 10 pesos.

Not really old, its value is about 0.9 USD. Keep it, it is pretty.
