Question by b907707: How much is a 1963 silver dime graded a PF 68 Ultra Cameo by NGC worth?
It is silver, proof, and a PF 68 Ultra Cameo.

Best answer:

Answer by mirrorcoin
Your coin is worth around .00. If you ever decide to sell your coin it may sell easy due to the fact that it was graded by NGC . I saw some coins like yours on eBay that were selling for a higher price, although eBay isn't the best place to look for values of coins. Hold on to your coin for it's value may increase more in the future. I hope this helps answer your question.

Question by Ringo_Starr: How much, if any, is a 1967 silver dime, and a 1917 half-dollar worth?
The dime is fully silver. The half dollar is quite old, with the image fading, you can still make it out very clear on what the image is.

Best answer:

Answer by Dan.
I would have to say at least 10 cents on the dime and 50 cents on the half dollar.

Hope this helps.

Question by Trent B: how much is a 1958 silver dime worth?
I have a 1964 and a 1958 silver dimes. I am wondering the value of each, and I wonder if anyone can tell me without a great deal of problem.

Best answer:

Answer by Taiping
Circulated 1958 and 1964 silver dimes are bought by dealers for around 7 to 8 times face value. They are not scarce so only the silver in them has value. As the price of silver goes up their value will also.

Question by Eunice K: How much would you think these would sell for. 1943 dime, Misprinted Dime, Silver Quarter 1964?
The misprinted dime seems as though its border was punched twice.

Best answer:

Answer by mirrorcoin
Your first coin is a Winged Liberty Dime also referred to as a Mercury Dime. They were minted from 1916-1945. I'm not sure if it is an error or not although it could be, I would need to see a picture of it to make sure. it's value is around .00. Your second coin is a Washington Quarter Dollar which were first minted in 1932. The year 1964 had a mintage of 560,390,585 and is worth around .00. I hope this information helps answer your question.

Question by Ὀρφεύς: What does a dime symbolize as a gift?
There are certainly more coins that have more value (quarter, silver nickel, half-dollar, golden dollar, ect.) The dime is standard - not silver. So I think I can discount preservation/endearment.

I want to dig further. 10 symbolizes a base, a foundation of feeling, a stability object, one of the most well-known fundamentals we know as humans. I believe the act of giving it is one of desire to know the unknown. What do you take from it?

Best answer:

Answer by Flowers live the day
It meant for a long time being able to get coffee, make a phone call, get a paper. It symbolized a friendlier society, probably during the 30's depression. Now it doesn't mean the same, but it still means those depression things to me, like there's the old panhandle quote, "Buddy, can you spare a dime?" that I like. To me 10 represents unity, the whole, as if nothing created a 1 and went around and back to 10 to include everything, so that nothing is now conscious of itself, whole and understands the illusion of it's divisions. It's more than wise, like a 9, but represents the whole of being, the wise old man and the innocent eternal Truth that is reality.

You'd have to take them to a coin collector and have them appraised as to their condition and mint marks. You can't get that information from here without more facts about the coins.

Question by michele_b_06277: what is the worth of a 1958 silver dime, 1964 silver dime, and a 1963 silver quarter?
Besides the worth of the silver, I was wondering if any of them have any special value. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by BD in NM
Above and beyond melt value it largely depends on the condition of the coins. Assuming these are average circulated coins I would guess that they are not worth much more than melt value. None of the years are significant with millions of each coin being made during their year.

If they happen to be uncirculated examples then you are probably looking at a reasonable value above melt. Nothing large but enough to make it worth keeping the coins.

Before 1965, dimes and quarters were made of real silver. Why is it rare to get one of these back in change?
