I have a 67 year old penny and I was wondering how much it cost since it's so old.

This steel clad penny is worth about $.15 to about .00.
If it has been clean then it is worth less. I have about 50 of them.
Now if you had one of the very few copper 1943 pennies then you are talking about lots of money. Over ,000.00 for it.

there from
1881,1882,1887,1888,1900,1901,
1904,1921,1922,1923,1924,1934
its 300 + of them i stopped counting
and there is a 5 pesos Mexican coin its the same size as the US silver dollars its from 1948 and is made of silver
about half of them look brand new and the others look black on the front and back but silver colored on the sides
nobody knew they were there not even my grandfather we found them in the back of a dresser and they had to be there for the past 25 years i dont know how long he had them before that
about 50 of them have a s mint mark on them
i dont remember the rest of them i got tired of looking at them

I'm not to sure about it..but you have a lot of money into those coins.....do you want to keep them?...if not put them on e-bay for auction..but before document yourself on the value of the coins

Coin Collection Values are based on the scarcity of any particular coin and a price a collector is willing to pay for it, and that is a big variable, so to look at a collection to estimate its worth is really guesswork and only reflects what I, as a collector, would be willing to pay for it.

back says: estados unidos mexicanos.
basically, it is a 1948 coin of 30 grams pure silver.
also, based on an answer i received , ... i'm not just asking the value of silver - that's a set market value. i mean the value of this as a collectible. it's much more valuable than the price of the silver. i also have an Olympic year one, th eyear the Olympics was in mexico city.

Depending where you go will determine the price. If it says 0.900 it is not pure silver and does have a slight amount of other metal. Right now an ounce is worth about .00. Convert 1 ounce to grams and you should be close to actual cost of the silver, but the coin in good condition may or may not bring you more $$$

A 1948 Mexican 5 Pesos contains 0.8681 troy ounces of silver which is currently worth about US, and the coin is worth only slightly more than that. 1987 Mexican 50 Pesos is only worth US even if like new. These are retail prices, and a coin dealer would pay wholesale prices. The Mexican Peso was devalued in 1993, so the coins would be worthless as currency if you tried to spend them in Mexico today. What you have is a 1943 steel cent. During World War II, copper was needed to make shell casings for bullets. In order to conserve copper for the war effort, the government minted pennies in steel-coated zinc. They only did it for one year because the public complained about the new pennies- they were easily confused with dimes in change. They are relatively common so only ones that are in excellent condition are worth much; most are worth no more than 15 to 25 cents.

The dime is fully silver. The half dollar is quite old, with the image fading, you can still make it out very clear on what the image is.

I would have to say at least 10 cents on the dime and 50 cents on the half dollar.

not much. if the quarter is in good condition, a couple of bucks. if worn, maybe 50 cents or a buck.
the penny is just a novelty--no real collector's value.
valuable coins are hard to find.
