Question by bumofqueens: HOW CAN YOU BUY GOLD OR SILVER UNDER SPOT PRICE ?
Yes, I'd really like to to know if it's at all possible to buy precious metals either At or Below spot price. I've been doing allot of research online checking out a whole bunch of different sites the prices very but, none of them or under spot price, I've even read that by buying junk silver you can buy under spot but, nope while junk silver is cheaper you're still paying above spot): and I've seen allot of people claiming to know how and they'll teach you but, you have to buy there book or take there course for a fee which is complete B.S.
Can this really be done without taking advantage of anyone ? I would really like to know and I'm sure allot of other people would too so if anyone knows anything Please Help !

Answer by jay marcus You are still going to pay silver prices & silver is up to about .50 an ounce. If you have any coin clubs in your town, city (ask local coin dealer) attend local meeting. Our clubs have silent & live auctions which members can bid on.

Question by Jim: where would be the best source to get silver coins pre 1964 at the best price value?
Best answer:
Answer by curtisports2 You're not going to get a big price break on them anywhere. Most of the dealers are paying 10 to 11 times face value. Closer to 10 after the hit the market took today. The 'melt' value is 12.75 times face on all 90% issues except for the dollars, which is 13.6 times face. The big bullion dealers are charging melt plus a markup.
Your best bet is eBay, with the bigger the lot, the better the price. The actual silver price may be about the same, or even a little higher, on large lots, but it's the shipping on small lots that kills you. You can pay per silver quarter for a lot of 100, plus shipping, and come out cheaper (5) than buying ten separate lots of 10 coins each for .75 per coin, plus shipping of per lot (5 + ).
