Question by Delvala: What is the value of a silver quarter from 1950?
I found a pure silver (or at least, I think it's mostly silver?) quarter dated to 1950. Someone told me that they stopped making quarters like that around 1965, so I figured my quarter may be worth something to collectors.
Anyone know what that approximate value may be, and how I would go about selling it to someone (besides eBay)?

Question by thebourne_id: What is the collector's value of a unstamped US quarter blank?
My dad got a quarter roll from the bank a few months ago and he thought the bank ripped him off since one of the quarters was totally blank and smooth on the front and the back. I asked to look at is and noticed it still had that coppery looking stripe on the outer edge and those lines on the edge just just a completed quarter. I have heard collectors will pay for defect coins and coins with mistakes, but this isn't a Krugerrand or a silver dollar. Does this coin have any value?
Actually, I back up, the coin doesn't have the lines around the outer edge its just a flat unstamped coin all over, what about that value?

Question by Eunice K: How much would you think these would sell for. 1943 dime, Misprinted Dime, Silver Quarter 1964?
The misprinted dime seems as though its border was punched twice.
Best answer:
Answer by mirrorcoin Your first coin is a Winged Liberty Dime also referred to as a Mercury Dime. They were minted from 1916-1945. I'm not sure if it is an error or not although it could be, I would need to see a picture of it to make sure. it's value is around .00. Your second coin is a Washington Quarter Dollar which were first minted in 1932. The year 1964 had a mintage of 560,390,585 and is worth around .00. I hope this information helps answer your question.

Best answer:
Answer by kckid2 It depends on the market value the day you bring it in, and the shop you take it to. remember, the coins is not pure silver, they have to melt it down to get it pure. That has a cost

Question by Alex: What does the tiny inscription JF, just below Washington's head above the 4 on the 1964 silver quarter mean?
I have been looking up my coin collection values, and I know very little about them, and this caught my eye and I couldn't find any postings anywhere about it, so I turned to you guys. It is extremely tiny and you'll probably need a magnifying glass or hand lens to see it, but it's just above the 4 to the right on the 1964 silver quarter. Also, does this make it more valuable?

Question by michele_b_06277: what is the worth of a 1958 silver dime, 1964 silver dime, and a 1963 silver quarter?
Besides the worth of the silver, I was wondering if any of them have any special value. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Best answer:
Answer by BD in NM Above and beyond melt value it largely depends on the condition of the coins. Assuming these are average circulated coins I would guess that they are not worth much more than melt value. None of the years are significant with millions of each coin being made during their year.
If they happen to be uncirculated examples then you are probably looking at a reasonable value above melt. Nothing large but enough to make it worth keeping the coins.

Answer by Lavender I think it might be around each. I checked on my half dollars in silver from 1960's and they were worth each a few years ago.
