The USA stopped putting silver in coins in 1964. There was some silver in half dollars a few years after that. I think up to 1970. Coins 1964 and older are worth 10 to 11 times the face value ( a dime would be worth . to .10). The half dollars 1965to 1970 are worth about . or so each.

Question by pink_r0kkz: How Much Are My Three Silver Quarters Worth?
This older man came into my work and paid for a few things with silver quarters. He seemed upset and said that it was all he had left. Well I decided to keep the three quarters and i just wanted to know how much they would be worth. I have a 1941 ... 1946 ... and 1952 ... I live in san antonio tx and i tried looking up for a coin collector so that way I could make sure but I didnt seem to have any luck finding one.

Only about 75 cents.
I would pay 1.50 if in good condition
Their not rare enough to be worth much more than face value.
Book stores or online info can give you sources to find out the value.
